Three days of master classes led by Stijn Celis, choreographer and artistic director of the Saarbrücken State Theatre Dance Company in Saarland, Germany, will conclude with an open rehearsal for the public with the creators of the Trio phase. The creators will present parts of their creative process and work on their pieces together with Stijn, in front of the audience.
Come and experience the behind-the-scenes of the creative process. See how we work with professional dancers from different companies across Israel, and watch Stijn Celis and Naomi Perlov, Artistic Director of the Suzanne Dellal Centre, work with them and give corrections, deepen the qualities, and share in a Q&A with the audience, ahead of the grand premiere on 10 February 2027 at the Arison Hall for the Arts, 6 Saadia Gaon St., Tel Aviv-Yafo.
The fourth edition of the 1|2|3 program invites you to discover the next generation of Israeli choreography, through a captivating year-long journey of creation, exploration, and artistic growth. Ten promising young creators were selected to set out on an intensive artistic path, during which they developed a personal language and shaped a distinctive voice in the world of dance.
The program is structured in three chapters: solo, duet, and trio. Each culminates in a compelling live performance on the stage of the Suzanne Dellal Centre. After each stage, the outstanding artists are selected to continue, until only three creators continue.
Participants enjoy close professional guidance, masterclasses, and mentoring sessions with key figures from the performing arts world, in Israel and abroad. Alongside the development of their work, interdisciplinary connections are formed and doors open to international opportunities.
The participants in the Trio phase are:
Matan Cohen, Einav Berkovitch and Noga Aharonof.
The program is held with the support of the Lottery Council for Culture and Arts.
